AllerPoint was founded to offer a more focused, efficient, and patient-centered approach to allergy immunotherapy.
Many patients with environmental allergies struggle with the demands of traditional allergy shots, frequent visits, long treatment timelines, and difficulty maintaining adherence. AllerPoint was created to address these challenges by offering advanced immunotherapy options designed around precision, efficiency, and clinical oversight. We are one of the few practices in the U.S. focused primarily on ILIT.
We are currently serving Richmond, Virginia (VA), Northern Virginia, D.C and surrounding areas.
All treatment recommendations are individualized, and every patient is evaluated personally before therapy is offered.
Treatment approaches are designed to reduce unnecessary visits while maintaining appropriate medical oversight and follow-up.
Care strategies emphasize reducing the number of injections required, avoiding prolonged treatment schedules when appropriate.
Treatment is guided by how the immune system responds to allergens, rather than the volume or frequency of injections alone.
Patient safety is emphasized through careful evaluation, real-time monitoring, and physician-led decision-making throughout treatment.
All evaluations and procedures are performed by a Board-Certified Allergist, with experience in allergy diagnostics, immunotherapy, and ultrasound-guided procedures. We do not offer mass-market allergy services. Appointments are scheduled to allow sufficient time for education, questions, and careful monitoring.
Jaimin H. Patel, D.O. has spent his career helping patients find lasting relief from their allergies and avoiding dependence on medications. Dr. Patel’s work has always focused on bringing evidence-based innovation to allergy care. Intralymphatic immunotherapy (ILIT) is one of the most exciting developments in our field as it provides convenience to our patients. Currently, only a small number of allergists nationwide offer this treatment, and he is proud to be among them.
Dr. Patel earned his undergraduate degree in Biology at Virginia Tech and stayed in Blacksburg, VA for another 4 years to complete his medical degree at VCOM (Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine). He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA followed by an Allergy & Immunology fellowship at the University of Virginia.
Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys watching Formula One, spending time with his family and exploring the various food options that Richmond has to offer.
